OMG Singaporeans continue to amaze me with their language skills, OR the lack of it, for that matter.
I'm watching Girls Out Loud now and...
I think 90% of the nation needs to go back to primary school and learn their phonetics!
I know I'm not perfect and there are words I probably will mispronounce and misspell<--oops. see? hah.
but it's AMAZING how they can mispronounce such simple words:
-Deodorant
-Genre
and they didn't know what some acronyms stood for.
BASIC ACRONYMS like:
P.I.E. hello?!! Your Pan Island Expressway also don't know?!!
G.S.T. hello??? The beautiful *cough* tax that always makes your purchases cost extra, and you don't know?!
and this. omg this. those who don't know....I don't know what to say. M.R.T. Mass Rapid Transit!!! the mode of transport that boasts like, 1 million(??) commuters that utilise it everyday and ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE who use the M.R.T. and don't know what it stands for? I am shocked.
and just something random.
colleague is not pronounced as KER-LEEK.
it's "call-leek" ok. stop trying to act clever. LOL. -----------------------------------------------------------
we attended the Pitch! Conference '07 held at LT 68E last week and this ex-student who is working as an acct exec in an advertising firm showed us some campaigns their company did for Zuji. wow, damn innovative. Their campaign: The world is on sale! below are three 30second TVCs.
and it states on its description on youtube that it was done by Geoff Ang Production House.
whoaaa.
ok, apparently singaporean men think that asking the ladies if they want to apply a flat together, it means the lady says YES to a marriage proposal.
oh-kay...it's true, they probably mean YES.
but...c'mon!
do you see me yawning?!
